IGORRR – SAVAGE SINUSOID (METAL BLADE RECORDS)
In much the same way as with Zeal & Ardor earlier, it’s hard to know where to start with this album. There’s metal, but there’s opera, but there’s drum & bass, but there’s folk… It’s all very confusing.
If you can look through the absolute bat-shit nature of what goes into this album you actually find that Savage Sinusoid is very well-crafted, never once feeling like any of the conflicting elements are out of place or are just shoe-horned in for the fun of it. To make an album with this much going on and for it to not be too chaotic is an impressive feat.
