One of Scotland’s best exports, post-hardcore outfit Yashin slayed the Bohemia stage at Sonisphere on Friday afternoon, offering the huge crowd an insight in to just how versatile they are with their striking melodies, huge choruses and just the right amount of metal to keep all those in attendance happy. All that, and the fact that they payed homage to Sunday’s headliners Metallica with a cover of ‘Wherever I May Roam’ meant that their set was one not to miss – which festival goers seemed to agreed with, as they spilled out of the tent and on to the area surrounding. The greatest thing about these guys however, is their ability to have fun. At one point Harry Radford and Kevin Miles, clean and unclean vocalists respectively, had the willing members of the crowd take off their shirts and whip them forward to create a fanning effect. It’s kind of hard to forget the performance of a band who helped you cool off!
