1. Architects – All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us
This album started out as one thing but transformed into something completely different, after the heartbreaking loss of guitarist Tom Searle who lost his long battle with cancer earlier in the year. The strength and resilience that the boys in Architects displayed, not just to each other but as musicians really caught my attention and put them in a whole new light for me. I’m not making this album my number one because of what the boys have been through, I’m making it my number one because it is one of the most outstanding and innovative records, the kind that makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. They should all be more than proud of what they’ve achieved with it.
