2016 has been an absolute stellar year for music with some of the world’s biggest bands releasing new albums, and a lot of nostalgic 00’s bands making comebacks *cough* Good Charlotte and Simple Plan *cough*. With that in mind, the wonderful team at Mosh have come up with their individual top 5’s including 44 band’s and only one band coming in at the top more than once. With very few releases appearing on more than one persons’ top 5 it’s testament at how strong the music in 2016 has been.

Keep your eyes peeled for our editor and assistant editor’s lists coming in over the next week or so. Until then enjoy, and let us know your thoughts. [/tps_header]

1. Good Charlotte – Youth Authority

There is always something about Good Charlotte that ignites the angsty 13-year-old in me, who despite  it all will always love a bit of good ol’ pop punk. Youth Authority is an important album, marking the band’s return following a hiatus that stretched for far too long. There’s nothing elaborate about their latest record, but there has always been something great in their simplicity. This record makes me feel a whole lot of things, mostly nostalgic, but essentially it’s a feel-good album filled with classic GC vibes, and arguably some of the best tracks they’ve released in years.

2. Mat Kerekes – Luna & The Wild Blue Everything
3. Moose Blood – Blush
4. American Football – American Football (LP2)
5. Saosin – Along The Shadow
