My Chemical Romance History
2012 – Conventional Weapons
In October 2012, My Chemical Romance began releasing Conventional Weapons; a series of previously unreleased and unheard songs that were recorded prior to Danger Days: True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys. They released two songs a month for five months.
These songs were to be part of the fourth album which never was. The band had reportedly started their fourth album, aiming for a Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge style, but decided that wasn’t the direction they wanted to go in. These songs had a slightly more MCR circa 2004 vibe, and diehard fans received the songs well.
The band started early sessions with new drummer Jarrod Alexander.
