Magick-al Mystery Tour
This one is brilliant and how over thought out it is. Some nerd has clearly, during his breaks from internet porn, read a little bit of Crowley and attempted to shoehorn it into the Paul is dead theory. It’s such a winding and connected story that it’s almost convincing to the everyday idiot. The idea that the band used Magick to subliminally communicate news of Paul’s death through their music.
There is however a phrase from my early working life that has stuck by me in the decade since. “Bullshit baffles brains”. Basically if you say something with enough conviction, you can convince anyone of anything.
The first point where this theory falls down is that Crowley’s Magick ideal was never about gaining minimal control. If the Beatles were really practising this dark art, why did it take so long (two years plus after release) for someone to finally follow the direction of this so called “magick” and play the Sgt. Pepper album in reverse? Worst magick trick ever!
