Headliner #2 – Blink 182

Continuing the theme of the classic band revival, Blink 182 could well be a shoo-in for next year, especially in light of the addition of Matt Skiba. They last hit the festival in 2014, when Tom DeLonge was still with them, and their latest album California has fans’ interest at a peak.

To add to the already-well-stoked fire of speculation, the band revealed in an interview with Daniel P. Carter that they wouldn’t be touring the UK until 2017. Could they cap off the tour with appearances at Reading and Leeds? The smart money says they will. And with Angels & Airwaves having released an EP earlier than this year, they could well be on course for a new release in the coming months. Could they precede Blink on the lineup and force Tom into the same vicinity as his old bandmates and new replacement? You know, to add to the drama of the weekend? If so, nobody would be complaining.
