5: Black Peaks – The Cave (Thursday 7th July)

It’s been quite the meteoric rise for Black Peaks – previously known as Shrine and having their first single ‘Say You Will‘ featured as Radio 1’s hottest record just 2 years ago, they now have their debut album Statues out for the world to bow down to and have become one of the most electrifying live acts the rock scene has seen in many moons. Will Gardner’s vocals are such that he may not even need that microphone, as he continues to reign as the most powerful and versatile vocalist in the business, particularly on ‘Crooks‘ and ‘Set in Stone‘. The rest of the band are so crisp and tight that this could very well be the album being played through the sound system, but alas, it is literally just testament to how amazingly talented these 4 guys are and there will not be a single person at this stage who did not go away knowing they had witnessed greatness.
