Suicide Season – Cut Up!
BMTH released a remixed version of Suicide Season, titled Suicide Season: Cut Up! In November 2009 after Oli asked a friend to remix one of their songs, and the band was very pleased with the end result. This made them think about having the rest of the album remixed.
Various musicians and producers chose tracks to remix, including Ben Weinman from The Dillinger Escape Plan, Skrillex, KC Blitz and Shawn “Clown” Crahan from Slipknot.
This album showed a whole new side to BMTH. The remixes gave a whole new perspective to Suicide Season, and was something completely different to anything that had really ever been heard before. The combination of hardcore with dubstep and hip-hop opened up a whole new fan base for BMTH, and showed that the band were willing and able to experiment with different genres.
