Suicide Season
Suicide Season was released in 2008, and saw BMTH abandon their deathcore roots in favour of something less aggressive. After moving on from their mantra of making something sound as heavy as possible, the second album was definitive. It was eclectic and different, with a much more classic metalcore sound.
Frontman Oli Sykes started to sing more and scream less, which added a new dimension to the band, and started to attract a new, wider fanbase.
Songs like ‘Chelsea Smile’ became a fan favourite, and still is today. As metalcore and hardcore grew in popularity, so did BMTH.
