Die for the Government – Anti-Flag
We find it hard to believe that political punk band Anti-Flag have been fighting the power for 20 years now, having released their debut album Die for the Government way back in 1996 – and they’ve been sticking it to the man ever since. For anyone who thought this album’s punk protest songs such as ‘Fuck Police Brutality’ and ‘Kill the Rich’ were just a “phase” for Anti-Flag, their years of peace campaigns, pleas for equality, anti-capitalist rants and charity gigs ever since have proven you very, very wrong. They’ve never lost their spirit, despite over two decades of packing punches with their powerful music and explosive live performances, and we hope they’ve still got plenty more energy to keep standing up for the little people for many more years to come.
