Everything Must Go – Manic Street Preachers
Manic Street Preachers of one of the UK’s best-loved alt-rock bands; in fact, we’re not sure any other band will ever manage to top what Manic Street Preachers have achieved for British alternative music. Another band that rode the waves of Brit-pop without having to even fully immerse themselves in the scene, the Preachers managed to pass off their outcast alt-rock sound and quirky image as a confident blend of rock and pop and, as a result, people lapped it up. Being the first album released since the loss of prior lyricist Richey Edwards, Everything Must Go was a risky move for the band; luckily it paid off because, as it turns out, Manic Street Preachers could do no wrong.
