Muncie Girls – are rolling in punk rock angst, they’re angry at the world. Their debut album From Caplan To Belsize is political. They’re engaging with a wave of punk feminist figures from throughout the ages, kicking down misogyny and unabashedly taking part a conversation that should have been finished with a long time ago. Muncie Girls want social change and they’re standing against an oppressive culture that encourages misogyny and discrimination. Lande Hekt’s lyrics push the conversation forward and the powerful hooks and punk riffs make them both an important and engaging listen. There’s so much more to come from this band.
