19 years have gone too fast as it has come to the time where we need to say farewell to pop punk icons Yellowcard. As part of their farewell, Yellowcard released a self-titled album and released two singles ‘Rest In Peace’ followed by ‘The Hurt Is Gone’ as a bittersweet reminder of their departure from the touring world.

Here are 3 reasons why the band will be missed.

  1. Yellowcard are fundamentally a pop punk band but they do have a twist which is very unique to them. This twist is the fact that the band have a violinist as a fully fledged band member and this combination isn’t often recreated and will be a shame to hear it go.
  2. They are definitely ones to liven up a stage and know how to end on a high by playing at Warped tour this summer, a great summer before their farewell tour.
  3. Although they will be leaving us with a great 10 albums to choose from you can’t help but want more from this band. Just continue making music and give us more classics please?!

Check out their video for ‘The Hurt Is Gone’ below from Yellowcards’ final self-titled album.
