The Florida metallers recently released the details of their forthcoming seventh studio album Silence In The Snow due to be released on October 9th through Roadrunner Records. Having listened to the band’s new track of the same name, we couldn’t be more excited for its arrival so we thought we’d run through five reasons why you should be just as excited for the new record as we are.

1) First album with new drummer

Silence In The Snow will be the first album with their new drummer Mathew Madiro who was confirmed as a new member in June 2014 after their previous drummer Nick Augusto had an “amicable split” from the group a month previous. At just 22 years old Mat had little experience as a touring or recording musician but had already been Trivium’s drum technician for two years so it was a natural choice.

Mat has already proven himself as a worthy replacement as he stepped in as the band’s drummer on May 5th 2014 towards the end of their U.S. tour with Volbeat. He had just 24 hours to learn all his parts for the upcoming show and the following 3 dates left of the tour.
