‘Bedroom Talk’ – The Starting Line
Though the main focus of this little Myspace baby is about getting laid—or more accurately, about losing the old V card—it’s actually kind of a sweet love song. No, really! “I’m gonna tear your ass up like we just got married / and you’re all mine now / tonight is the night we’ve been waiting for all our lives” – Okay so the first half of these lyrics are a bit questionable, but the “all mine now” part is pretty sweet! Love song material, right? Totally! Clearly, the boy is just confused and scared to make the commitment (“I’ve got big, big plans / and they’ve got to mean something more than just once / but I just don’t know what I want”). He’s a complex character, okay? He’s doing his fucking best. He’s just trying to lose his virginity. Cut the guy some slack!
