It’s getting to that time of the year again… The annual event known as Record Store Day returns on April 16th for it’s ninth year. For those of you who don’t know, the day celebrates the culture of independently owned records stores and brings these stores, fans and artists together across the world.

Each year, various special limited-edition consumer formats are pressed and made available for purchase. This year sees releases from Gerard Way, Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Frank Carter & The Rattlesankes, Architects, Deftones and Metallica, who are sponsors of the event this year and also have their own release, as well as many many more artists through many genres.

You can have a look at the long list of UK Record Store Day releases at recordstoreday.co.uk and the US releases at recordstoreday.com. We think we are going to spending a lot of money…

So… to get us excited for this year, we’re taking a look back at what we remember buying from last years event!

Biffy Clyro – Puzzle

It was big news when we heard that the trio from Scotland were releasing their breakthrough 2007 LP for Record Store Day 2015. They limited the release to 3000 copies though… so… does anyone have any going!?
