There’s only one thing worse than being attacked by a dinosaur and that’s losing your glasses just before it happens. And that’s exactly what happened to poor Dennis who had a bit of a nightmare and got left alone with a ‘spitter’. His death is perhaps the most cruelly vicious in the first movie. At first he was relieved that the Dilophosaurus was just a small creature as he believed it was not a threat.
But things started to go horribly wrong for him when he gets out his vehicle after he crashes it in the enclosure and the trickster dinosaur attacks the unprepared Dennis, spitting its paralysing venom onto his chest. The dinosaur strikes again, this time spitting into Dennis’ eyes and finally ending the torment by eating him alive. A truly horrific way to go, but it was very thrilling to watch.
