With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear – Sleeping With Sirens
Okay, so I didn’t technically “miss it”, but this album will go on almost every list I make, and not just because it’s incredible but because SWS were one of the first bands that got me into modern day post-hardcore. With Ears came out the year I graduated high school and I truly wish I could go back in time and give myself the album (I’m sure there’s a time-related reason why this isn’t possible. Sorry, I am not well-versed in the logistics of time travel). It definitely would have made my shy, nervous year-7 self a lot more carefree. Don’t get me wrong, from year 9 onwards I was a spitfire, but before then I was a small, petrified blazer-wearing child. More hardcore/metalcore would have helped my attitude for sure.
