“There’s lots of interaction between the band and the crowd…”

If you’ve never been to a gig where the band tell you to crouch on the floor before jumping up on a queue, then you’re in the vast minority. I don’t remember the last gig I went to where the band didn’t pull this old trick. And Skindred was no exception. I guess the band and the crowd both like this move as it enhances the level of interaction between them. Skindred also told the crowd to remove their tops and swing them in the air, which did add to the atmosphere, but I’m fairly certain this would never work at a pop-punk gig. I suppose, overall, the crowd was a little older at Skindred. Until that night, I’d never seen a lead singer perform a song impersonating Peter Griffin, so that’s a new gimmick for me! One crossed off the bucket list I guess…
