Nightmare
Nightmare deserve to be on this list for creating not one, but two of the best anime soundtrack songs ever, namely ‘The World’ and ‘Alumina’ for Death Note. One of the major bands to break through on the visual kei scene, Nightmare is essentially a concept band based around Gianizm, which is derived from the character Gian from the manga Doraemon. The band have experimented with electronica, dubstep and ska throughout their career and once hosted their own pun-tastically named internet show ‘Nightmare in Nightwear’, in which they sat around and chatted in their pyjamas. Genius.
