2) More for your money
Everyone likes good value for money, and it’s often at smaller festivals such as Havoc that you’ll find you get what you pay for, if not more so. The first ever Havoc Festival sees eight bands play throughout the day, as well as magician Dee Christopher entertaining the crowd and some bands running social media competitions for festival go-ers to enter. There’s a lot going on and, even though the bands here might not be ready to headline Download just yet, a whole day of live music for relatively little money (because you can’t argue with £15, can you?)
3) Variety is the spice of Havoc life
The main idea of Havoc Festival is to introduce bands that are bubbling under the surface of British rock right now but, other than that, the criteria is pretty much wide open. We go from metal-rap hybrid Myth City to psych-grunge outfit Allusondrugs; from post-hardcore maniacs ZOAX to goth-rock headliners Fearless Vampire Killers, and just about everything in between! Lots of different music passes through the Havoc stage, and it’s great to hear the whole mixed bag of what the underground scene has to offer in terms of homegrown British rock.
