One of the biggest rock albums ever, has got to be My Chemical Romance‘s third album, The Black Parade. Cited as one of the albums that catapulted emo into the mainstream, the theatricality of the record and its concept of “the patient” and his death and afterlife, proved to be extremely controversial with the British press. Many tabloid newspapers took to their keyboards to brand the New Jersey boys as a death cult, but they and their predominantley teenage fans did not back down, having sold the album 3 million times across the globe, and producing classic hits like ‘Teenagers’ and of course, ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’.
