Band: Don Broco
Release: Priorities (Album)
Release Date: Out Now
Finally Bedford rock force Don Broco unveil to the UK their eagerly anticipated debut masterpiece ‘Priorities’. Despite it being released on the 13th of the month we can definitely guarantee that not an ounce of bad luck will hit these gentlemen this week.
From the minute this bad boy lands in your stereo, you are ultimately bewitched by both leading man Rob Damiani’s unique vocal impulse in every track and the minute by minute captivating songwriting laced perfectly throughout the whole album. There is not a dull moment or a mundane song in sight, with all 11 tracks being crafted immaculately. The whole album is simply a loaded gun of talent enforced upon your ear drums from beginning to end; prepare to be blown away!
We begin by mentioning the album’s single releases ‘Priorities’ and ‘Actors’, both complete belters to start off your Broco ear workout. Let’s be honest, they are single releases for a reason! The hooks and choruses are as catchy as an STD for goodness sake; do not panic yourself though, they are not going riddle you in spots or anything, although we can guarantee an infection of goodness for the entirety!
Next track mentions go to ‘Hold On’, ‘Yeah Man’ and ‘Whole Truth’, arguably the dark horses amongst the bunch. Expect mellow verse sections, exciting guitar parts and addictive choruses embedded in all three of them! We cannot help but feel the band’s song writing has grown up with them – obviously the whole album is ultimately flawless to listen to but we really cannot express how much they have grown! For example, we revert back to the old Broco days of ‘Thug Workout’: this track made them famous with its exciting and cheeky as hell goodness. They have now gone one step further and completely upped their game by finding their balance within their writing; still catchy as ever but a mature streak is cleverly painted in all of their tracks and you still have that typical Broco feel there that you have loved from the beginning!
‘Fancy Dress’ is definitely our favourite, so many unpredictable guitar parts which are always a good thing! Then the hook is unbelievable and definitely prepares you nicely for one hell of a massive chorus! This track is definitely served best on repeat!
Final mentions go to ‘Back In The Day’ and ‘Let’s Go Back To School’: so much excitement in all of them! This is what the Broco lads are so famous for, making you lose your cool. It is impossible to stand at the back of a show and just watch these guys. These tracks are proof that you must get up and dance, so just give in to their feel good music and just bloody do it!
We really could go through each track individually as they are all that incredible; in all honesty you just need to go and buy it for yourself and get with the program! After all, this is set to be the ‘Year Of The Broco’. Let pride fill their boots as yet another British band whack themselves in the big leagues.
