Review: Bury Tomorrow – Royal Blood (Single)

What do we think about Bury Tomorrow’s new single? You’re just going to have to have a look inside!

Band: Bury Tomorrow
Release: Royal Blood (Single)
Release Date: Out Now

A couple of days ago I reviewed the video to this very song, and now I’m back to review the single itself. As I have said before, this is one of the heavier songs in their catalogue, and hits hard live. Guitarist Mehdi Vismara’s guitar work is impeccable, lead vocalist Daniel Winter-Bates’ growls and heavier vocals are heavy hitting, and still you can feel the passion and energy this band has in every verse.

These guys are doing something they love and it’s amazing that they’re not any bigger than they already are. They are a band building from the ground up, trying to prove to the world that you don’t have to fall into a genre to make it big and have dedicated fans. The mix of Daniel’s growls and guitarist and clean vocalist Jason Cameron’s docile tones are a testament to this goal, proving you don’t need to have either heavier growls or the voice of an angel to make it big.

Any fan of Bury Tomorrow should love ‘Royal Blood’, it’s nothing too drastically different to anything else they’ve released, but that’s not what you want from these guys, they’re different enough to make it work. Once the new album is released, and once their latest tour is over, with The Soulless, I can very much see Bury Tomorrow continuing to rise amongst the ranks of greatness.

Royal Blood’ is available to download now, with the album being aimed at a early 2012 release.
