Lonely The Brave are one of the most talked about bands in the UK recently and the Cambridge five-piece have finally released their debut album, The Day’s War. The instrumental ‘Intro’ is a very beautiful was to start the album and brings a calming serenity to the start of the album, but then jumps straight into ‘Trick Of The Light’.
Many Lonely The Brave fans will already know many of the singles that feature on the album such as ‘Trick Of The Light,’ ‘Backroads,’ ‘Deserter,’ ‘Victory Line’ and ‘Black Saucers,’ but amongst these excellent tracks are a few new track that are sure to be fan favorites very soon.
‘Dinosaurs’ is a slower, more somber track, which showcases vocalist David Jakes’ evocative vocal. This entire album does an amazing job at showing the sheer talent in this band. ‘Untitled’ is a beautiful instrumental track that just ties the album in is a beautiful way we really don’t see all that often with bands anymore.
Title track ‘The Day’s War’ is a stripped back acoustic track, David’s husky vocal sit perfectly on top of the gentle guitar tones. Despite only being a short track, it was one of our favourites. Finishing on the instrumental track ‘Outro‘ makes this one of the most under albums we’ve heard for a while. The instrumental tracks just really tie this album together unlike any other albums we have heard this year.
People have been saying that Lonely The Brave are going to be huge and this album just proves that! We are so excited for everyone to hear this album!
