Airbourne do a great job as a support act tonight, waking up the crowd and getting them moving. In fact they do such a great job, they seem to have forgotten they are a support act. They give us an 8 song setlist packed full of anthemic stadium classic rock tunes to keep everyone moving.
Predictably the biggest crowd reaction is elicited by their hit ‘Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast’, which is greeted by the loudest cheer so far and everyone at least singing or clapping along.

Cheers!‘ He adds, saluting the crowd before drinking his own beer.
The frontman also doesn’t seem to appreciate the confines of a stage, jumping to the barrier to soak the fans in beer and wandering along to hi-five the front row. He even takes to a crew members shoulders to be paraded through the crowd playing the solo of ‘Girls In Black’.

The last thing the crowd hear from the vocalists mouth tonight is his closing speech: ‘As long as we are alive; as long as you all are alive; rock’n’roll will never die‘ before smoke and confetti cannons erupt shrouding the crowd, including some of the seats, in a glittery haze.
The energy for this set rocketed at the start and stayed high throughout, both from the band and the crowd. Very little production was needed, with few lighting changes and Marshall amp stacks decorating the stage. This band is all about straight up rock’n’roll, and that’s all they need to be a live success.
