Missouri rockers Radkey have announced their plans to return to the UK this October and November to tour with their upcoming album Dark Black Makeup.
The album was recorded at the McCall Sound Studios in Sheffield with Arctic Monkeys producer Ross Orton, and is set to be released on August 21st via Little Man Records.
The album is very much concerned with “jealousy, regret, love, obsession, death, insecurity, and sadistic, evil people – the kind of things that make you feel uneasy”, Isaiah Radke explains. “There’s a real dark streak to this album; we’re inspired by the movies of Stanley Kubrick and if you pay attention you might find some of the lyrics uncomfortable to listen to. A lot of these are what I would call ‘fuck love’ songs.”
Before their UK tour the Radkey brothers will play Reading & Leeds and a one-off show at the Old Blue Last, London with special guests on 1st September.
The band have today released their brand new single ‘Love Spills’ from Dark Black Makeup
