Johnny Solinger has released a statement on his Facebook page explaining that he is set to leave the band Skid Row and pursue his solo career after 15 years at the helm. You can check out what he had to say below:
“I have decided to leave Skid Row to pursue my solo career. The past 15 years has been a great experience and I have appreciated the opportunity to be the lead singer in one of the most prominent bands of the 1990’s and share stages with the likes of Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and KISS performing in front of millions throughout the world. I wish Skid Row the best of luck in their future pursuits. m/“
Now this is an interesting turn of events. After a couple of years of rumours, and speculation that Sebastian Bach may well return to the band that made him famous. Now Sebastian hasn’t exactly had a slow career since leaving the band, and has carved out a pretty good solo career for himself. The enticement comes when the fans themselves get so worked up about a potential return that the financial gain to be made from such a return would be ludicrous to turn down.
This is pure speculation at this point, but coupled with this recent piece of news and the last couple of years of rumour mill spinning, one does have to wonder about the validity of such things. I guess only time will tell on this one.
