Linkin Park seem to be on a roll with releasing new tracks – having just released the ironically titled ‘Heavy’ featuring vocals from rising singer Kiiara last month, they have now released an epic lyric video for the anthemic ‘Battle Symphony’.
The tracks have been taken from their upcoming seventh album One More Light, due out on the 19th May, and see’s the band exploring new territory which has divided fans on social media.
If you didn’t like ‘Heavy’, you probably aren’t going to enjoy ‘Battle Symphony’ much either. Fans should probably forget the Linkin Park they knew, because it looks like they might be going in a whole new direction. Less guitars, and much, much more synth.
But there’s always been a lot of electronic elements in Linkin Park’s music, so maybe this is the natural direction for the band to go? And if they keep churning out songs like this, they’re bound to earn a whole new region of fans with the more accessible, radio-friendly sound they are producing.
Here’s what some Linkin Park fans are posting on social media about ‘Battle Symphony’:

Battle Symphony is marginally better than Heavy, but Linkin Park just isn't what they used to be. They're mass produced pop garbage now
