With the press losing their collective shit over rumours and speculation about a possible Foo Fighters break up, good guy Grohl took to the internet to set things straight.
Announcing that an official band announcement would be coming via their various social media accounts, Foo’s fans everywhere where on the edge of their seats. With talks of Dave going solo and whispers that their was tension between him and drummer Taylor Hawkins, the big question was, are the biggest rock band on Earth about to break up?
Thankfully the whole thing turned out to be a load of bollocks, and in true Foo Fighters fashion the band responded with a seven minute long troll video. Playing on the idea of Dave becoming a solo artist with the guidance of producer, Butch Vig. Whilst also having the other band members name dropping possible replacements including: Phil Collins, Prince, Sammy Hagar and even Justin Bieber. Eventually auditioning Nick Lachey, with an acoustic version of ‘Everlong’.
The announcement was classic Foo Fighters. Getting a solid point across and having a laugh about it. That point being that the Foo’s aren’t fucking breaking up! We’ll leave a link to the video below for y’all to check out. Dave don’t wanna be no Phoney Baloney.
