Brighton based four-piece El Moono have just unleashed their brand new single ‘Killing Time’ ahead of their first ever UK tour. This is only the second track the band have ever released but we’re impressed.
The angular, odd time-signature riffs remind us of old school Biffy Clyro, which can only ever be a good thing, while there’s a general 90s grunge vibe going on which we reckon fans of Pearl Jam and Nirvana will love. Dual vocalists Zac and Jamie provide strong harmonies and a huge chorus which beckons future radio play. The song culminates in a slow buildup to a monstrous final riff, a.k.a. perfect circle pit material. (It even features a cheeky little clap-clap moment to invite an extra bit of audience participation!)
This all adds up to a pretty awesome song and makes us excited to see what else El Moono have up their sleeve. Check it out below if you haven’t already:
