Coheed and Cambria have announced that their new, and 8th studio album, The Colour Before The Sun, and more importantly, their first non-conceptual album, will be released on October 9th through 300 Entertainment.
The band’s previous albums made up a large proportion of their story of The Amory Wars, depicting the story of the Coheed and Cambria Kilgannon. This then marks the first time that the band have been pretty much freed from all constraints and we’ll be able to see their true raw emotions.
lead vocalist Claudio Sanchez had this to say about the album, “I kind of want people to know that Coheed can write that sort of record,” he explained of the album’s departure from The Amory Wars. “I’ve always said in the past that there’s never been a limitation on the band. It makes no sense to me to draw a line in the sand and never cross it.”
