Patrons are an up and coming four-piece from Plymouth consisting of Danny Brooks (vocals & guitar), Mark Hoynes (guitar), Olly Reed (bass) and James Corby (drums). They released their debut album As Above, So Below last year and have already started dropping brand new tracks. The latest of these is new single ‘Saorsa’, with a fiery lyric video that you can watch below.
‘Saorsa’ is a straightforward song based around a fairly simple riff that doesn’t vary much over the course of the song. It’s not the most technically impressive thing ever, but that doesn’t matter as this just makes it easier to get into. We were already nodding our heads after a few seconds and full-on headbanging by the first chorus. Speaking of which, Brooks’ huge vocals make it a massive chorus that we’re dying to get a chance to hear live so we can belt along at the top of our lungs.
