Between great new albums to soundtrack those summer road trips and a bunch of different upcoming tours with fantastic lineups, we can always squeeze in time to check out which new music videos have been released each week.
Servers – To Hell With You
In a rather controversial choice of topic & music video theme, Servers tackle the subject of religion; in which they voice the belief that “There is no God or devil. There are people out there who are fanatics and they need to wise up, stop being naive, drop their guard and don’t let these organisations exploit their weaknesses. ‘To Hell With You’ is taken off the band’s forthcoming album Everything Is OK, releasing 19th August.
Set It Off – Life Afraid
We have to admit, we’re a sucker for nicely done lyric videos. It’s always fun being able to sing along, but pretty graphics to go along with it are always a plus. Set It Off‘s new track ‘Life Afraid’ is catchy as hell, and has us really excited for their upcoming album Upside Down.
Five Grand Stereo – Clip Joint (Soho)
We recently discovered the funky, nostalgic sounds of Five Grand Stereo and really don’t think you should be missing out. Drawing influences from Bowie, Frank Zappa, Elvis Costello and the likes; the multinational band are gearing up for an album release next year. In the mean time, check out their rad live performance of ‘Clip Joint (Soho)’ in London.
Beach Slang – Punks In A Disco Bar
We will always have time for some Beach Slang. The Philly band’s latest music video ‘Punks In A Disco Bar’ features a very DIY, 90s style that we’re totally digging. The band will be playing a bunch of UK dates this month before releasing their new album A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings 23rd September.
Biffy Clyro – Howl
The third single to appear from Biffy Clyro‘s recently released Ellipsis, the music video for ‘Howl’ feels almost like American Horror Story lite. We’re not sure what exactly is happening, but who can complain about new Biffy?
