As It Is just released a new music video for their track ‘Hey Rachel’, taken from their new album okay.
Patty Walters explained that the personal track is his first explicit apology to his sister Rachel: “when my sister was maybe 11 or 12 years old, she went through a pretty terrible patch of depression and anxiety. I tried but couldn’t comprehend it, and I was unsympathetic when she needed most support”.
Patty has described it as being “an especially cathartic song to write, re-opening old wounds after nearly ten years. Writing the song demanded being painfully honest with both myself and my sister, neither of which I was particularly comfortable doing”.
“I had to re-live past feelings of fear, sorrow, anger, pain, and, most of all, regret. The song is an apology I’m relieved and proud to have finally said”.
