The news that The Smiths had joined Twitter was greeted with an unusual amount of fanfare recently. Some even pointed to it being the first sign of a reunion, because, ya know, Twitter and stuff.
In reality it just turned out to be a record company controlled PR exercise aimed and promoting The Smiths “Legacy” (and lucrative back catalogue).
