This Wild Life are famously recognised by their liquid gold vocals and rhythmic acoustic instrumentation.

The duo have just announced that they have signed to Epitaph records and will be releasing their debut album ‘Clouded’ on the 25th May. Alongside this exciting venture, the pair will be performing at Vans Warped Tour US throughout the summer.

Kevin Jordan and Anthony Del Grosso are based in Long Beach, CA and have been surrounded by the DIY punk scene since they were young. The pop-punk band formed after Kevin and Anthony worked together at a musical instrument store, bonding over their similar taste in music and not only becoming friends but also musical partners. It soon became apparent that they had to do something different to stand out, so they toned down the music and started producing acoustic sounds. This worked in their favour, undoubtedly.

Whilst their punk rock roots are where the majority of their inspiration stems from, This Wild Life like to adhere to a variety of genres, thus their musical inspiration lays outside of the punk rock constraints of their childhood years.

Jordan recently said: “Sara Bareilles is one of my favorites. Maybe people wouldn’t expect that. Or maybe they would.”

‘Clouded’, their debut and full length album, is enthused with the emotive vocals and soft rhythmic guitar sound that we so evidently associate with the band. Recorded by Aaron March of Copeland, the album pushes This Wild Life‘s abilities and experiments with ‘ambitious sounds’ whilst producing a familiar listening experience.
