Hit The Floor can only imagine how surreal it must be to be Fearless Vampire Killers at the moment. After recently completing their opening support tour with undisputed megastars Black Veil Brides, the band have seemingly converted their incredibly dedicated fan base. They now stand closer to stardom than they ever have previously. Supported by well-received festival performances throughout 2012 and recent confirmations for the likes of Takedown Festival and an imminent headline tour, 2013 is looking bright for the London-via-East Anglia hopefuls.
As we patiently wait for our interview outside London’s Brixton Academy, we have an unexpected front row seat as co-vocalist and guitarist Kier Kemp is surrounded by an ever increasing mass of adoring fans. Once he eventually breaks free, we move inside. We are privy to a noticeable level of excitement emanating from the band. The magnitude of the support slot has generated a wealth of enthusiasm – there is not an ounce of nerves in sight. As we enter the interview room with Kier jokingly announcing his departure from the band, it is clear that this interview is not going to be run-of-the-mill.
We were right…
