Forming from The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Rivalry and Envy On The Coast this week’s Tuesday Tuneage is North Korea now known as NK, an emerging band creating unique and striking sounds in inexpressible ways. Their hefty riffs coated visceral lyrics and bruising rhythms, shifting from burly tracks into poignant , deeper and emerging sounds that build upon themselves. They’ve recently released their album ‘Nothing To Gain Here’, but really you do. NK is one of those insane amalgamations that brings talented artists together perfectly and we love them for it.
Although they haven’t made it to the UK yet check out their lyric video for ‘Shoulder Gorilla’ for the bands thumping heavy side with the promise of a music video for their track ‘Kings’ soon. And if you like what you hear check out their slowing, soulful and grooving riffs with tunes like ‘Vacation Days’ and ‘Memo’. So we hope you are listening NK, the UK wants you.
For fans of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Deftones.
