Surrey’s most acknowledged rock band, You me At Six, have been forced to postpone their forthcoming North American tour.

At 10pm last night, the band revealed that they could longer perform the US tour.

The tweet read: “NORTH AMERICA PLEASE READ: YOU ME AT SIX FORCED TO POSTPONE NORTH AMERICA TOUR – DATES RESCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER http://www.youmeatsix.co.uk/news/”.

In an official statement, the band revealed that:
“Following more than a year of straight touring, Josh is suffering from vocal exhaustion and is under doctor’s orders to rest his vocal cords for a minimum of 4-6 weeks. Matt, Max, Chris, Dan, and of course, Josh, are therefore sorry and disappointed to announce the unavoidable postponement of their upcoming North America Tour, which was due to start in LA on April 21st. Given Josh’s need for rest, the band is unable to perform at the high energy level for which they’re known.

ALL VIP and GA tickets for the tour will be valid for the rescheduled shows, which will now run from September 15th through October 20th. The new shows will be announced within the next 7 days.”

Although the original US dates were set to commence on the 21st April in LA, the band will be postponing the tour until September.

Let’s wish Josh a quick recovery and in the mean time, check out the band’s recent album ‘Cavalier Youth’:
