Recent Band Updates On Desertfest 2014

Updated lineup and information for London’s very own and Metal Hammer sponsored Desertfest 2014!

It seems like there is a ever ending flurry of amazing festivals happening in the UK this year. But this is one that you really do not want to miss. Desertfest 2014 is the ultimate London based stoner rock, doom, sludge, and psych festival of the year!

The festival takes place deep in the heart of Camden Town, London, and takes place over three venues during 25th-27th April at the Electric Ballroom, Camden Underworld, and The Black Heart, all of which each venue are within 30 seconds of each other! So no matter what, limited walking distance is required, and are all at central point to Camden Town tube station.

The three headliners who will be spearheading the weekend long sonic assault will be American stoner metal trio Spirit Caravan, who have exclusively reformed to headline Desertfest 2014! Critically acclaimed (and Dave Grohl‘s favourite new band) Norwegian punk ‘n’ roll / metal heroes Kvelertak who will be sure to deliver possibly the most hectic and chaotic set of the weekend. The final headliner comes from Japanese experimental metal band Boris, who will be performing ‘Heavy Rocks’ in its entirety!

Other bands who will be gracing the lineup are Weedeater, Elder, Church of Misery, ASG, Sixty Watt Shaman, The Machine, Dragged Into Sunlight, Kongh, Sasquatch, Blue Pills, and many, many more. It also marks the final show by The Witches Drum, who have exclusively said that Desertfest will be their resting place before hanging their guitars up.

At present time, the full final lineup has yet to be announced, but more on this news when we receive it!
In the meantime here is the information you need about tickets. A 3 day weekend pass costs £85, a 2 day weekend pass (Sat & Sun) costs £60, and single day tickets cost £25 (Friday only) and £30 (Saturday and Sunday only).
You can purchase tickets and find out all information about the festival on the Desertfest official website, and all good online ticket retailers.

So what are you waiting for?! If you want a great weekend full of fuzzy riffs, beards, excess all areas, and good times, then purchase your ticket today! Desertfest 2014 – this is one festival you do not want to miss.
