Twin Atlantic have announced details of a new album which we can expect early in 2014.
After blistering sets the this summer’s Hard Rock Calling and T in The Park, and with main stage appearances at Reading and Leeds the weekend after next, the alt-rock powerhouse are set to follow up their 2011 release ‘Free’ in true style.
‘Free’ was the bands first full-length studio album and sold just under 100,000 copies in the UK, so it makes sense that it predecessor also be produced by Gil Norton, who had previously worked the likes of Pixies and Foo Fighters.
“We needed some time to find out what kind of music we wanted to make next and to explore things in the studio that we’ve never had the chance to explore before.” Twin Atlantic’s Ross McNae said of the record, ” Hearing what we’re making now makes me fully believe we were right to take our time as it’s sounding massive.”
The album is expected early next year, but for those who can’t wait that long, the band are playing 2 of the new songs in their festival set. Last year they were amazing at Reading Fest, and I certainly wont be missing them this time around!
