Just when you think they have done it all Metallica get themselves put into the Guinness Book Of Records.
The thrash metal legends have earned themselves a place in the 2015 edition of the book as becoming the first band to play on every continent in the world in one calendar year. Last year the band went and played a gig in Antarctica, playing the freezing temperatures for competition winners as part of their ‘Freeze ‘Em All’ tour. Metallica main man James Hetfield is obviously overjoyed at his band becoming record breakers and had this to say…..
“Seven continents in one year with Antarctica being THE gig of a lifetime… Yes, 120 scientists and competition winners. Not to mention the 300 very curious penguins!”
Another well deserved award for the band, maybe now they will concentrate on getting that new album out.
