Lostprophets have released the cover art for their upcoming album, ‘Weapons‘ which is due to be released on April 2nd, a long with the first released single from the upcoming album ‘Bring Em Down‘. The release is then followed by a 14 date UK and Ireland tour through April and May.
It’s been two years since the Welsh rockers released their last album ‘The Betrayed’ back in 2010. It’s been a hectic two years for the band as well, with taking the Reading and Leeds main stage by storm in 2010, stealing the show at Belfast’s Belsonic Festival and even being asked to perform in the opening ceremony of the Ryder Cup at the Millennium stadium.
After the Ryder Cup festivities the band retreated back into both Norfolk and their more recognised LA grounds to both write and record the new album. Now as 2012 looms into life we will be able to see their latest work.
The band are a group of lads who have known each other since their school days in Pontypridd in South Wales, and have worked together since the turn of the millennium with their debut album, ‘fakesoundofprogress‘. Over the years they’ve risen through the ranks to become one of the UK’s biggest rock bands today, without fitting into the musical conventions in the world, but to do what they’ve wanted to.
