Black Dogs are an unstoppable pack from the North, and 2013 will be delivering their debut album, so intense and shamelessly aggressive, it will without a doubt take the UK metal scene by force. The band have already impressed the likes of Radio 1‘s Dan Carter and have received several plays on his ‘Rock Show’ over the last few months.
They have also shared the stage with bands like Bring Me The Horizon, Feed the Rhino, Silent Screams, Heart of a Coward and many more. The future is definitely looking very bright for Black Dogs, who recently signed to DESTROY EVERYTHING and are hitting the road as main support to Hatebreed in April and May around the UK. Black Dogs are definitely a band you should not miss this summer!
HTF: Hey, how are you guys?
Black Dogs: Fine, tar duck!
HTF: So, you’ve just played Hit The Deck – how was that?
BD: We had a sick time! We played early but there was a really good turnout. The crowd were really responsive, cheers Nottingham we will be back!
HTF: Ah cool, sounds like you guys had a great time! But tell me, for those who haven’t heard of you yet, how would you describe your band/ music in 3 words?
BD: Grim, Raw, Bleak.
HTF: Ohh, dark! Hehe…I hear you’re touring with Hatebreed soon, are you looking forward to the tour?
BD: To play with Hatebreed is a massive honour. We were listening to those guys when we first got into music, now we are main support on their UK tour. It’s crazy, don’t think it will sink in till we step out onto stage that first night. To say we are looking forward to it would be an understatement!
HTF: Exciting times! So there’s Hatebreed tour, then you’re playing Download, right? Any other news you’d like to share with us? What does the future hold for Black Dogs?
BD: We are going to be dropping an extremely limited vinyl single in June. Dan Carter has also invited us down to do a live session for the BBC, looking forward to that massively! There’s a few things that we are really excited about… but it has to stay under wraps for now! We are gonna be busy!
HTF: Can’t wait to hear all about the exciting stuff – Is there an album out soon? Can you tell us?
BD: It’s all going well but the big news is our debut album… its been a long time in the making, but ‘Grief’ will be with you all by July/August time.
HTF: That’s awesome news guys, can’t wait to hear it! Anything else you’d like to add?
BD: Yeh, we would just like to take a second to thank a few people! We have a really good team behind us right now. We are genuinely really stoked to be working with the lot of them. We feel really lucky, cheers guys!
HTF: Thank you very much for talking to Hit The Floor guys, all the best for the tour and everything else!
