Day 5

Today was off with a good start we were banging out Lostalone’s Album ‘I’m a UFO In This City’ which personally am obsessed with at the moment after seeing them live I few weeks prior at the London Barfly and funnily enough, there is a picture of Drew and I at the show in this week’s Kerrang! Mag (issue no. 1417) unfortunately I seem to be on my phone in the picture (sorry Lostalone) I wasn’t bored, I was genuinely taking a picture of the awesomeness. Anyway me and drew weren’t the only members of FVK in Kerrang! Kier was in there too, testing whether “emo” fringes affect your eyesight, No, was the answer. Also the one and only Cyrus Barrone were in there talking about his favourite album cover, which was Magnums ‘Vigilante’.

We arrived at the venue with the sight of fully dressed women showering outside, while dirty bastards in the office block above them watched on.

We had a bit of time before sound check as there was a noise restriction until 4 or something, so we decided to walk into town. Bristol is full of bang tidy buildings and an aquarium, but we ending just going to forbidden planet, so while the kids went in there Mummy and Daddy (me and Kier) you decide who’s who, went for a drink in the swanky bar next door, and as we are sitting there with our gin and tonics and rum and cokes counting the amount of times there could have been a car crash on the road in front of us, former Olympic Gold Medallist Linford Christie walked past and we just watched it happen.

Great gig by the way, after the show we went to some bar in Bristol town but I was refused service for being too drunk, which was probably true but at the time I was very angry and I don’t remember much but I do remember threatening to burn the place down which resulted in me getting thrown out. So I went and got a burger, I hated it. Overall, a successful night.

Day 6

Big night tonight, we were in London, our home town. I was psyched and ready to kill my drums as were the other boys. But I had made the fatal mistake of downing a pint before going on, but this was no ordinary pint it was a pint of skittles, I had once stated that I loved skittles so much I could drink a pint of them and it seemed in was time to put my money where my mouth is, big mistake. I nearly puked about 7 times on stage that night, but thought to myself it would be alright because at least it would be rainbow coloured.

Obscure pleasures were on top form tonight giving my favourite performance of theirs over the week, you could tell they were loving it and about half way through they even had a semi naked chick on stage and they were pouring JD’s over her , party times, Excellent.

We hit the stage and we knew we had to step up, and I don’t want to toot our collective horn but we went for it and I believe the crowd enjoyed it because when we finished playing Bowties on Dead Guys I heard the loudest screams I have ever heard in my life, it actually mad me jump. And William Control was his usual brilliant self, I will never get bored watching him, EVER!!!
