Dark Fortress have just unveiled details of their forthcoming album ‘Venereal Dawn’ which is set to release on the the 1st September across Europe/NZ/Australia and the 2nd September for those fans based in the USA/Canada.

Morean, Dark Fortress’ very own frontman and lyricist raises a variety of socially addressing questions throughout the stream of tracks included on the new album. “What happens to life on earth if the fragile laws of nature are altered even by a little bit? How can the human psyche deal with the perspective of inevitable extinction? How far can the human soul be stripped before its essence vanishes completely? Can we contain the implications of forced and radical evolution and the insanity it brings?”

Venereal Dawn is the band’s 7th studio album – it has been suggested that this is once again a concept album, like many other past albums produced by the band.

The album includes nine tracks, titled: Venereal Dawn, Lloigor, Betrayal And Vengeance, Chrysalis, I Am The Jigsaw Of A Mad God, The Deep, Odem, Luciform and finally, On Fever’s Wings. Every song undoubtedly offers a narrative, infused with the suggestion of survival, betrayal and sacrifice – the album forms a plot in an ‘extremely hostile environment’.

The band will also be touring Europe in October alongside the likes of Secrets Of The Moon and Schammasch. Find a full list of tour dates below:
