It always sucks when bands lose members original members doesn’t it? And now to the dismay of many, longterm Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop has announced that he is leaving the band to focus more on his side project, We Are Harlot. The news devastated Asking Alexandria’s immense and loyal fan base, with many taking their emotions to the web making Twitter an online stockpile of massive ‘feels’.

Asking Alexandria guitarist, Ben Bruce released an official statement on Danny’s departure via Facebook, clearly stating how the band will not stop creating music and will continue to tour and produce records. Bruce took to the Internet stating:
“It’s with heavy heart that I must announce, yet I am sure comes as no surprise to you all, that Danny has decided to leave Asking Alexandria to pursue other musical interests. Before you lose your composure and think this is the end I would like to say that myself, James, Cam and Sam have all been in this since day one. We love Asking Alexandria and we love every single fan/AAFamily member around the world. As with any family there are ups and downs. There are good times and hard times. A family is there to support you and help you in your darkest hours. We have been and always will be there for you guys and just this once we ask for you guys to help us out. Be our strength and our shoulder to lean on. Asking Alexandria will not be slowing down. We are going to tour harder than ever and we are going to write the greatest record of our career. We are extremely excited to announce that we will be spending all summer touring the European festival circuit and across North America on the Vans Warped tour with our new singer, playing a set list FOR THE FANS. We know you are here for us and we know this might seem like a scary time for us all, but we will be fine. We will stand tall and prove to the world that Asking Alexandria is bigger than just one person. It’s bigger than just myself, James, Cam and Sam. Asking Alexandria is a family made up of the most dedicated fans around the globe and nothing and no one can hold us down. This isn’t the end, this is the start of a whole new chapter. This is where we come together and make history. We want to thank the key people who have stood by us: Ash Avildsen and Sumerian Records, Kevin Lyman and Warped Tour, our management team Kyle, Diony and everyone at 5B, and most importantly YOU reading this. Yes you, because without you, Asking Alexandria would not be possible. I cannot wait to share our new songs with you and I’m so SO excited to get back on the road and see you all again. Stay tuned to find out who the new singer of AA is. Take care of yourselves, stay positive and we will see you all very soon.”
Due to the noticeable change in Danny’s vocal style from the brutal death core sound of the first two records, Stand Up and Scream and Reckless and Relentless. To the much more melodic sound of the newest album From Death To Destiny and his much more ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ orientated work with We Are Harlot on the new tracks ‘Denial’ and ‘Dancing on Nails’ some fans have seen his departure coming for a while now.
After hearing We Are Harlot I think it's time Danny leaves Asking Alexandria and makes that his main band. Asking is done in my opinion.

But the main question on everyone’s minds is who is going to take up the mantle of lead vocalist? Well, it’s funny you should ask, a petition has already being set up to make Riff Raff the new frontman of AA. According to the article the petition is already immensely popular having already collected nearly 2,000 digital signatures since its launch on Thursday night. Despite this though, it seems some fans are not too keen on the idea, and some also have their own ideas of who should step in.
Now that Danny Worsnop left Asking Alexandria, I nominate Jeffrey Wellfare of Capture the Crown to replace him

So people want Riff Raff to be the new frontman of Asking Alexandria..?
You're not going to replace Danny but okay haha

But what do you think? Who should Asking Alexandria take on as their new vocalist? Should it be Riff Raff, or someone completely new? Either way we are glad that Asking Alexandria have decided to carry on their career and not call it a day due to this unfortunate hiccup. As for Danny, best wishes from us in your new band which you can check out below, they rock.
