Hit The Deck Festival has returned to 2014 with an outstanding line up, the finest headliner in the festivals history Brand New and a guaranteed hangover for that bank holiday Monday you were planning on doing so much with. Check out some must see bands for the weekend here:
Dead Harts
Dead Harts are set to ransack Hit The Deck with limbs, sticks and strings with a taster of their debut full length album ‘Cult For The Haggard Youth’. The album is due for release this July so what a better way to kick off festival season than loosing your shit to some aberrant riffs, thrashing limbs and sweaty Northerners screaming in your face.
Ensuing madness on their home ground for the Nottingham show Baby Godzilla will be decorating the SABBC stage in body parts. The four piece are guaranteed to destroy any concept you had of personal space with their sweet rum rock and roll.
After the release of the epic ‘Chronicles Of Gnarnia’ which hasn’t left our playlist since its release and being on announced every festival you could ever want we cannot wait to singalong Gnarwolves after last years set. Check out last years Hit The Deck interview here.
After announcing a follow up to 2012’s ‘Tough Love’ we cannot wait to get a taster of what is to come in 2014 from Pulled Apart By Horses whilst pulling our hair out to drums that will split guts and hearing rasping vocals of our favourites that are going to be in our heads for days after.
The Front Bottoms
If you haven’t seen The Front Bottoms before we assure you that you will be singing along before their set finishes. Every idiosyncratic chorus will spread through the crowd with the added musicianship of Tom Warren and Ciaran O’Donnel until our beers will be swaying in the air. Marking the end of their tour with Brand New this will be a set not to miss, and for a little taste check out their acoustic set from last years Hit The Deck here.
